The “Map of ‘comfort stations’ of the Japanese military” was produced by the Women’s Active Museum on War and Peace (WAM) based on intensive research of documents, including survivors’ testimonies, soldiers’ testimonies/memoirs, eyewitness reports, and official documents. WAM holds the copyright of the image of the “Map of 'comfort stations' of the Japanese military” (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Map image’) and provides it free-of-charge based on the following terms and conditions.




1) About the resolution of the Map image
  • The Map image provided is in JPG format and is approximately 1200 pixels on the long sides (300 dpi).
2) Terms and conditions
  • The Map image may only be used as provided, including the text, the logo, the QR and the credit information. Any revision, alteration or trimming of the provided image is prohibited.
  • If the QR and the credit information cannot be made legible, please include the URL(https://wam-peace.org/ianjo/)and “c Women's Active Museum on War and Peace (WAM)” in the caption.
  • When using the Map image, please read the ‘Introduction’ of the “Map of ‘Comfort Stations’ of the Japanese Military” website(https://wam-peace.org/ianjo/intro-en/), and ensure that its use does not deviate from the outline stated in it.
